Last year, a dark cloud loomed over the awards season when the Writers' Guild of America strike scrapped Tinseltown's plans to celebrate its best and brightest actors during its biggest nights. Now that the strike is history, Hollywood can roll out its staple red carpet and welcome its A-list donned in sparkle and glamorous evening gowns at ceremonies honoring them for proudest work yet.
