Quirky, charming, refreshing, gorgeous, cancelled - one of these words is not like the others, yet I've used all of them to describe the recently axed, Emmy Award-winning television show Pushing Daisies. For the first time since my childhood discovery of the equally unique and Emmy Award-winning Pee-wee's Playhouse, I fell in love with this slice of small-screen cinema.

For years we have heard the media talk about all the beautiful people. From the popular kids at school to the popular movie stars, skinny and beautiful seems to be the factor that attracts the crowds.
